Bio:
Anna Haghgooie, MBA, is a managing partner at Valtruis, a unique platform that invests in and partners with disruptive leaders whose mission is to align and transform healthcare through value-based care. Anna is also an operating partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson, & Stowe (WCAS), a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare and technology industries. Over the past four decades, WCAS has successfully invested approximately $10 billion of equity in over 90 healthcare companies through its 13 private equity funds. Previously, she served as a managing director in the healthcare group of Sandbox Industries, and the Blue Venture Fund, a unique collaboration between BCBS companies, BCBSA, and Sandbox, where she managed over $900M in capital across four funds. Anna currently serves on the boards of Wayspring, InStride Health, Oncology Care Partners, and TailorCare. She previously served on the boards of Contessa, PWN Health, ExactCare, naviHealth, Change Healthcare, Quilted Health, Somatus, ZeOmega, and SonarMD. Before joining Sandbox in 2008, Anna held roles as the general manager at an integrative medicine start-up, covered the healthcare markets as an associate director of corporate finance at Fitch Ratings and started her career in the Financial Management Program at GE Capital. Anna earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She lives in Chicago, IL with her husband and two children. Anna is a Fellow in the Health Innovators Fellowship at the Aspen Institute.
