Ikenna Okezie, MD, MBA, is co-founder and CEO of Somatus, Inc., a value-based provider of integrated and coordinated care for patients with or at risk of developing kidney disease. Somatus partners with payors and providers to improve outcomes for patients with or at risk for developing chronic kidney disease and end stage kidney disease. Prior to founding Somatus, Ikenna led the mid-Atlantic operations for DaVita, a $1 billion business unit with 225 outpatient dialysis centers, 70 hospital-based dialysis units, and 4,000+ teammates. He has also served as a partner of The Advisory Board Company and engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. Ikenna enjoys contributing to the community, including as a former member of the Medical Review Board of Medicare’s End-stage Renal Disease Network and past co-chair of the Region III Health Equity Council of the U.S. National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities. He earned an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MBA, graduating with Honors, from Harvard Business School, and a BA in economics, graduating cum laude, from Yale University. Ikenna is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
