Executive Chair, Acelero Learning
Bio:
Aaron Lieberman serves as CEO of Shine Early Learning, which is focused on disseminating learning tools and approaches to other early childhood education providers. Shine Early Learning products are used by over 100 Head Start Programs serving 100,000 children across the country. In addition, Aaron serves as Chairman of Acelero Learning, which he founded in 2001. Aaron served as Acelero Learning's first Head Start director, eventually overseeing services for over 4,000 children and families, served in 36 centers across 3 states. Today, Acelero Learning serves over 5000 children in four states. Young children in Acelero Learning's Head Start program consistently make gains at more than twice the national average. Aaron has a strong track record of entrepreneurial successes in the social sector. After graduating from Yale, Aaron became a Head Start teacher and founded Jumpstart, an organization which pairs college students with preschoolers to develop literacy, language and social skills. What began as an idea in Aaron's dorm room went on to become a national organization and leader in early childhood education; today Jumpstart engages 4,000 college students in service to nearly 15,000 children in 20 states, and the District of Columbia and more than 75 communities across the country. While at Jumpstart, Aaron founded and served as Chair of Schoolsuccess.net, a venture-backed for-profit spin off of Jumpstart that created the first on-line versions of the High/Scope COR and Creative Curriculum's Developmental Continuum. Aaron is a fellow of the third class of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
