Deputy Managing Director, SRF Ltd

Kartik is the Deputy Managing Director of SRF Limited, a multi-business organization which is the country's largest technical textiles business and also the market leader in refrigerant gases and a preferred supplier of fluorospecialities and polyester films. Before taking up his current position in SRF in February 2007, Kartik had assumed various responsibilities across different verticals in SRF ever since he joined the company in 1993. Kartik's primary role today is in the creation of a performance culture and nurturing value-based leadership in the organization. He is also passionately involved in driving aspirations and corporate image of SRF besides spearheading a company wide awareness on environmental issues. Previously, as Vice President in SRF, Kartik was instrumental in integrating HR, IT and TQM functions across the organization. Kartik has had the opportunity to work on various projects within SRF which include working as a team member with McKinsey & Co as well as with Coopers and Lybrand on various improvement initiatives. Kartik has had experience in commercial functions as well as started an e-procurement portal for B2B purchases which catered to over 20 companies. Kartik is presently the President of the Indian Blind Sports Association. He also had the opportunity of serving the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as Chairman of its Delhi State Council for the year 2007-08. An avid golfer and winner of six pro-am Golf tournaments, Kartik is a graduate from Santa Clara University, California and MBA from Cornell University, New York. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is a Fellow of Second Wave Class of Aspen India's Leadership Initiative.
