Heramb Hajarnavis is director at KKR India Advisors Private Limited (KKR), where he leads KKR's private equity investing efforts in India. Prior to joining KKR, Heramb was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co where he focused on evaluating investment opportunities for the firm's global private equity and mezzanine debt funds across various industries. Heramb was a founding member of Goldman Sachs' office in India and served as co-head of private equity investing where he was responsible for numerous investments including Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, Sudhir Gensets Limited and TVS Logistics Services Limited. Heramb's prior experience includes being part of the senior management team at Centennial Communications Corp. (a NASDAQ listed telecommunications services provider that was subsequently acquired by AT&T). Heramb has served as a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Private Equity & Venture Capital and the CII Sub-Committee on Issues Pertaining to Foreign Investment in India (part of the National Committee on Regulatory Affairs). Heramb has also served on the Working Board of the Indian American Council and as an Executive Member of the MIT Class of 1996. Heramb earned an SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he was part of the Freshman Crew team and completed his senior thesis under Nobel Laureate Prof. Robert Solow. Heramb also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was co-President of the South Asian Business Association. Originally from Pune, Heramb currently resides in Mumbai with his family. Heramb's interests include reading, travel and golf. He is a Fellow of Second Wave Class of Aspen India's Leadership Initiative.
