Anant was appointed President, Honeywell India, in January 2014. He is responsible for continued growth of India operations across the three strategic business groups of Honeywell such as Aerospace, Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) and Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT). Maheshwari joined Honeywell in February 2004 and, over the last ten years, has successfully taken on a number of leadership roles of increasing responsibilities. Prior to his current appointment, he was Managing Director, Honeywell Automation India Limited (HAIL) and Country Leader for Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions (ACS), India. He helped drive a One ACS and One Honeywell vision in India, strengthening Honeywell's presence across all the automation segments. Earlier, as Managing Director, ADI - Asia Pacific, he successfully tapped on the region's high growth potential, adapting ADI's global distribution business model to Asian markets. He drove ADI's thrust in innovating and creating increased value for customers and partners in India's security and low voltage automation industry. Maheshwari also served as Director, South Asia for Honeywell Security, where he successfully conceptualized and set up operations in India. He started his career with Honeywell as Director, Business Development, Honeywell India. He worked with Honeywell's global business leaders to identify, plan and implement strategic initiatives across Honeywell's multiple strategic business groups in India. Maheshwari worked with McKinsey & Company as a management consultant for more than five years before he joined Honeywell. There he gained exposure across multiple verticals: telecom and hi-tech, power and engineering, steel, automotive, and pharmaceutical, with a strong focus on growth strategy, organization design, business transformation and supply chain strategy. Maheshwari obtained his bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a master's degree in Economics from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India. He earned his master's degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. He lives in Gurgaon, and is an amateur biker and golfer. Anant is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
