Bio:
Habiba Balogun runs her own Organisation Effectiveness and HR consulting firm, Habiba Balogun Consulting, in Nigeria. Before establishing her firm in 2007, she progressed through various roles and industries including banking, manufacturing, import-export, education, and oil and gas. She has served on several boards including Accion Microfinance Bank, Lagos Preparatory and Secondary School, Fate Foundation, WISCAR Mentoring Programme, International Coach Federation Nigeria, Kudirat Initiative for Democracy, Alter-Native Artists Foundation and Ikoyi Nursery School. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Business and Government Relations Group. She was the pioneer corporate affairs manager in Credit Lyonnais Nigeria and Regional HR Change and Strategy Adviser for Shell E&P Africa. Habiba holds a bachelor's degree in French and Italian from the University of London and a master’s degree in organizational management, including leadership coaching and team facilitation, from George Washington University, Washington DC, and is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School Executive Education in Strategic Leadership in Financial Inclusion. She is a certified trainer, facilitator, leadership coach and NLP Practitioner. She is a specilialist in Diverisity & Inclusion, Harassment & Discrimination and Executive Leadership Development. She is a Fellow of the third class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-West Africa, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, and a member of the Africa Board Fellowship.
