Bio:
Raymond Ndlovu is the Executive Chair of Serendipity Ventures, a privately owned investment company focused on scaling commercial opportunities in the pan-African fintech, strategy consulting, and digital infrastructure sectors. A seasoned executive and entrepreneur, he has over 30 years of experience in functional and leadership roles across investment banking, asset management, venture capital & private equity, and digital infrastructure and technology. Raymond previously served as Group CEO of Community Investment Ventures Holdings (CIVH), leading the strategic merger of Vumatel and Dark Fibre Africa into Maziv. Earlier, he played a pivotal role at investment conglomerate Remgro Limited, overseeing key infrastructure and venture investments, and co-founded and later exited the institutional stockbroking firm Noah Capital Markets. He is Chair and Venture Partner of AlphaCode Venture Partners (www.alphacodevp.com), a leading Africa-focused venture capital firm, and Investment Managers Group (IMG) (www.img.co.za), a boutique asset management investment holding company, and boutique asset manager, Perpetua Investment Managers (www.perpetua.co.za). Additionally, he is a non-executive director of two JSE-listed companies: Grindrod Limited, a pan-African logistics and freight infrastructure company, and OUTsurance Group Limited, a global short-term insurer. Beyond his corporate leadership, Raymond is committed to fostering Africa's next generation of leaders. He serves as the board Chair of the Africa Leadership Initiative South Africa (ALI SA), of which he’s a Class VIII (“Mahube”) fellow, and is an active member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN). He also supports community-driven initiatives in South Africa’s tourism (co-founder of Black Elephant Vintners in Franschhoek), education, and economic development sectors.
