Amina Oyagbola is the former HR /Corporate Services Executive , MTN Nigeria and Managing Consultant of AKMS Consulting. With over 30 years’ experience, her career spanned legal consulting, banking and finance, oil and gas and telecommunications. She joined MTN in 2004 as Corporate Services Executive and was pioneer Director of the MTN Foundation, commended by UN Global Compact and recipient of several awards. In November 2008, she led a transformation as HR Executive. During her tenure MTN became the 1st company in Nigeria to be accredited with the IIP Gold Standard. She is Chair of ALI– WA, Fellow, CIPD UK, Fellow and Member, Governing Council of IOD . She is the Founder of WISCAR (Women in Successful Careers) a gender empowerment and mentoring initiative for professional career women.
In June 2019, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to the HR profession in Nigeria.
She recently received a special Commendation from MTN for her leadership and ethics during her 12 year tenor.
