Title and Organization:
Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede is the Founder and Chairman of Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG), a not-for-profit organisation, established to attract, inspire and support future leaders of Africa’s public sector.
Aig is also the Founder /Chairman of Coronation Capital, prior to which he was Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, which he led to rank amongst Africa's leading banks. His career has received several recognitions including Commander of the Order of the Niger by Nigeria, and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (West Africa).
In 2012, Aig-Imoukhuede Chaired the Presidential Committee on Fuel Subsidies, widely credited with saving Nigeria billions of dollars in fraudulent fuel subsidy payments. He is a past President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
His social engagements include Chairman of Friends Africa, a partner of the Global Fund, Co-Chairman of GBC Health, and director Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria.
Aig chairs the Trustees of the Financial Market Dealers Association He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017
He holds a law degree from the University of Benin also holds a Trium MBA awarded jointly by the London School of Economics, New York University and HEC Paris.
