Harriet Amissah-Arthur is a partner of Arthur Energy Advisors, an advisory services firm that provides professional technical expertise and support to project owners, developers and investors in energy sectors across Africa. Previously, she established Kallidad Enterprise, a wholesale African textile distribution business, of which she remains the proprietress. Before that, she was appointed the director of KITE, a Ghanaian energy and environment nonprofit organization, where she led KITE's participation and contribution to the drafting of the ECOWAS White Paper on Access to Energy Services for rural and peri-urban areas. She worked with the Volta River Authority, a power generation and distribution utility, for over 17 years. Harriet holds an MBA (finance) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon and a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, also in Ghana. She served for several years on the Council of the Ghana Institution of Engineers and had special responsibility for Women in Engineering (WINE). She is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-West Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
