Romeu Rodrigues is the director of Citrum, an agriculture venture in Citrus and bananas. Most of his professional life has been in construction of infrastructure, being the CEO of CETA -Construction from 1999 to 2011. Since mid-2000, Romeu has been involved in HIV-AIDS awareness activities. He was founder and co-chairman of Mozambican Business Coalition against AIDS and chairman of local council for The Global Fund for HIV-AIDS, Malaria, and TB from 2004-2007. From 1997-1999, Romeu was the chairman of Contractor's Association; from 1999-2001 he was vice president of the Mozambican-USA Chamber of Commerce; and from 2007-2009 he was the president of Mozambican-Brazil Chamber of Commerce. In early 2009, Romeu was appointed president of the Fiscal Council on Bank FNB Mozambique. Romeu was born in Beira, Mozambique, and has a degree in civil engineering from Maputo University-Mozambique. He is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-Mozambique and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
