Bio:
Justice Malala is one of South Africa's most respected political commentators and newspaper columnists. He writes weekly columns for The Times and the Financial Mail. He also presents a weekly political talk show, The Justice Factor. He is the resident political analyst for e.tv and eNews Channel. His work has been published internationally in The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Financial Times, The Independent, Forbes, Institutional Investor, The Age, and The Observer. He has also contributed to BBC Online and Deutsche Welle. He has given talks and rendered political advisory to international and local institutions such as JP Morgan, Liberty, Lehman Brothers, Old Mutual and Edcon. Justice recently left the corporate world after leading Avusa's Sowetan and Sunday World newspapers as general manager and, before that, acting as general manager of Avusa's stable of 44 magazine titles. Justice was founding editor of ThisDay, the quality, upmarket South African daily newspaper. He was an executive producer on Hard Copy I and II, a ground-breaking television series on SABC 3. Hard Copy I won the Golden Horn Award for best television series. Justice is a judge on the country's most prestigious investigative journalism award, the Taco Kuiper Awards for Investigative Journalism. His collection of satirical Financial Mail columns, Let Them Eat Cake, is out now and available at all good bookshops. He is a Fellow of the second class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-South Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
