Bio:
Roger Dickinson is a Social Entrepreneur and Education Activist. Roger is the co-founder and CEO of A Better Africa, an online Education utility Platform set up to provide public schools across Africa with free websites, communication tools, smart M&E and the potential to collaborate across communities, countries and the Globe. Roger also founded and directs the African Spelling Bee literacy, spell2read2write initiatives which focuses on improving foundation and intermediate phase literacy skill levels in public schools. The combined reach of these programmes exceeds 7 million young Africans each year and has expanded to 16 countries across the continent. A French-language version of the programme was launched in March 2020. Roger is also the Chairperson of the UTASA Tertiary Bursary Fund and has entrepreneurial business interests in industrial hemp processing and property management. Roger is married with 4 children and is a Fellow of the second class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-South Africa.
