Bio:
Heri Bomani is managing director of Pangani Advisory, a financial advisory and consultancy business with operations in Tanzania and Zambia. Previously, Heri served as CEO and managing director of Kenya Commercial Bank Tanzania, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) which is East Africa's biggest regional bank. Under his leadership, KCB Tanzania expanded from three to eleven branches and introduced the first Islamic banking product window. Prior to KCB, Henri was the head of retail banking at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Tanzania Limited and served on the Board of Directors. Heri is also a music entrepreneur and founded Red Promotions Ltd., the region's first music and brand activation company. Heri was the deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Civil Society and holds board positions in a number of other entities. He went to school in Tanzania, Zambia, and Kenya and graduated with a BS in economics from Cardiff Business School at the University of Wales in the UK. He is a Fellow of the second class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
