Bio:
Oskar is a seasoned educator with experience of teaching and senior leadership in the UK and Uganda for over 20 years. He is the Principal of Taibah International School (TIS), an over-subscribed private school with three branches in Kampala, Uganda. TIS students and alumni exemplify the schools’ values of ‘independence of approach in the pursuit of excellence in all activities’ as well as ‘concern for community.’
Oskar is a socio-political talk show host on national radio with Capital Radio and television presenter of NBSFaceOff, a current affairs interview programme on NBS TV, and founder of Kigo Thinkers, a public policy think tank.
Oskar is married with children and lives on the outskirts of Kampala city close to Lake Victoria. He is a Rotarian; a past president of the Rotary Club of Kampala North and team leader of the club’s Vocational Training Teams (VTT) including leading a visiting team of medical personnel from the Uganda Heart Institute to the Madras Medical Mission in Chennai, India for a hands-on training experience in 2017. He is a Fellow of the second class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
