Bio:
Rose Ogega is a founder and managing director of Bloom Consultancy Limited, where she practices as a strategic advisor to small and medium enterprises. Her work as a management consultant, entrepreneur, accountant, corporate governance specialist, non executive director and public official has centered on helping organizations deal with the challenges and opportunities of unprecedented changes in their operating environment. Rose has held a number of senior finance positions in the corporate sector including being the chairperson of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She is a certified director and has served in a number of boards and at present serves as a board member of Barclays bank of Kenya, Old Mutual Group in Kenya and as the chairperson of the Women Enterprise Fund Advisory board (WEF). WEF's vision is to empower poor women through wealth creation and enable them to live with dignity and choice. Rose has been awarded "Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS)" in recognition for her contribution to the economic development of Kenya. She holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Nairobi and is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (FCPAK). She is a Fellow of the second class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
