Bio:
Mpadi is Founder and CEO of HEAL SA, an organization committed to eliminating the health disparities that impact Black women and girls, and which aims to make mental wellness accessible, simple, and centered on the lived experiences of Black women. Mpadi has over 18 years of experience in non-profit administration and planning, sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, public-private partnerships, business development and social impact. Prior to founding HEAL SA, she was managing director of Harambe Consulting, providing strategic vision and leadership for Harambe’s national and global field operations, including, business development, consulting, marketing, and stakeholder management. She has held strategic leadership positions with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, AT &T Canada, BroadReach Healthcare, Futures Group International and Tshikululu Social Investments. Her board experience includes serving on the boards of Johannesburg Market, Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, Ubuhle Bezwe Health Services, Grace Foundation (Washington. USA), Mandela Scholarship Trust: University of Sussex (Brighton. UK) and the Women’s Theology Centre (Boston. USA). Mpadi received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (Hons.) from Nipissing University (Canada), and Master’s Degree in Health Education from the University of Sussex (UK). She is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative (Aspen Global Leadership Network) and a member of the African Leadership Network.
