Bio:
Dr. Ntuthuko Bhengu is chief operations officer of Clinix Health Group and founder of Afrika Biopharma Investments. Ntuthuko serves on the National Advisory Council on Innovation, which advises the Minister of Science and Technology on the role and contribution of science, mathematics, innovation and technology in promoting national objectives. He is also deputy Chairman of the National Biotechnology Advisory Committee, a member of the Audit Committee of Polmed Medical Scheme, and a trustee of the South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis. He was appointed by the Minister of Health to serve on the Pharmaceutical Pricing Committee Working Group and, during the Africa Nations Cup soccer tournament in 1996, he was the Durban group's Chief Drug Testing Officer. He obtained his MB,ChB degree from Natal University in 1991 and the Diploma in Anesthetics from the College of Medicine of SA in 1994. His formal management training includes an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff and MPH healthcare management from Harvard University. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-South Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
