Tamara Esau is an audit partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Her responsibilities ensure managing all audit risk areas and presenting audit plans and findings to the chief financial officers and chief executive officers of relevant holding companies. She was previously a human capital partner at Assurance Western Cape, where her duties involved recruitment, recognition, and retention of talent. She was also responsible for counseling individuals. Tamara is a member of the National Transformation Steering Committee and chaired the Century City Employment Equity Committee from July 2005 till July 2007 and the Assurance Transformation Committee for the same period. She is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants and African Women Chartered Accountants. She is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-South Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
