Bio:
Karim is a Senior Executive with 20 years’ experience in the digital, media, and publishing industries in the Middle East. He spent the last 10 years of his professional journey leading multi-functional teams in the design, development, marketing, distribution, and monetization of digital products targeting Arab audiences. After building Saudi Telecom’s content unit which launched among other services invision (STC’s interactive TV) and Dawri+ (Saudi Football League), he managed Pearson’s business in the Middle East focusing on the development and commercialization of new platform-based education solutions to schools and universities. In his last role as CEO of Webedia Arabia, a Saudi French digital entertainment platform for Arab audiences, he set-up a division creating, distributing, and marketing gaming/esports content in the region. Karim earned an MBA from INSEAD and is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique in France. He is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
