Bio:
Amjad M. Tadros is both an entrepreneur and award-winning investigative journalist. He has successfully founded and managed more than half a dozen regional businesses in the diverse fields of media, communications, advertising, security and logistics. He is the Middle East producer for CBS News, managing the network's coverage and operations in the region since 1990. He is the recipient of multiple international awards including three Emmy's in Investigative Journalism and two Alfred Dupont Award's for excellence by the University of Columbia in New York. He is also a co-recipient of the Peabody award in 2008. Most recently, in 2016, he was awarded a third Emmy for an investigative piece on the chemical gas attacks in Syria for CBS News’ 60 Minutes. In 2013, he co-founded Syria Direct, a non-profit media and training organization covering the Syrian civil war by providing impartial news and training for aspiring Syrian journalists. Amjad holds an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology at the University of London. He is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
