With more than 13 years of telecommunications experience, Basel joined Zain South Sudan with very strong credentials in the commercial, technical, and operational aspects of the business. After holding several key senior positions within Zain Group since joining the company in 2000, including chief operations officer, Zain Jordan; Marketing and Customer Care director, Zain Kuwait; commercial consultant, Zain Iraq; and commercial consultant, Zain Bahrain, Basel was appointed CEO of Zain South Sudan in January 2013. Basel has a track record of driving the operations and leading the operational teams to improve the telecom experience for consumers and business customers. A Jordanian national, Basel holds a bachelor degree in marketing, and is an Alumni of London Business School. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Middle East Leadeship Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
