Bio:
Rick leads Strategic Partnerships at the College Board and, in this capacity, he is responsible for building and cultivating alliances with public and private institutions to increase the impact of the organization and its partners. He also serves as Chair of the DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB), providing oversight to 126 campuses serving 46% of DC public school students. Rick has extensive experience in education management, external affairs, strategic planning and governance, having previously served as CEO of the DC Prep Public Charter School network and in senior leadership roles at America’s Promise Alliance and Teach For America. Rick began his career in the professional services sector, working at CEB in Washington, DC and London. He holds Board positions at several social sector organizations, including Instruction Partners and the National Charter Collaborative. Rick earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University and resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Leslie, and two children, Luca and Belén. Rick is a Fellow of the ninth class of the Pahara-Aspen Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
