Bio:
Rob Birdsell is co-founder and Executive Vice President of Amerigo Education. At Amerigo, international high school students pursue a high-quality US education while living in secure, state-of-the-art boarding residences alongside their peers from around the globe. Amerigo students participate in daily English Language instruction and access the Amerigo University Advantage program, a unique four-year program to enhance competitiveness at top-tier universities. Prior to founding Amerigo, Rob was a co-founder and partner of The Drexel Fund. Prior to this he led the Accelerate Institute as its first chief executive officer. Prior to joining the Accelerate Institute, Rob was the president and CEO of the Cristo Rey Network from 2007 through 2012. Previous to the Cristo Rey Network, Rob was a managing vice president with Eduventures, an educational research and consulting firm. Before Eduventures, he was a managing director at Clark Consulting, a human capital consulting firm. Rob also taught English literature for seven years at Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and at Loyola High School in Los Angeles. Rob has a B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from the Lubar School of Management at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He is a Fellow of the seventh class of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
