Bio:
Parker is currently the CEO of the Inner-City Education Foundation (ICEF) Public Schools, a charter management organization operating 14 schools and educating 4,200 students in South Los Angeles. In his time with ICEF, he has guided them to financial stability, raised millions of dollars to support programs, and refocused organizational attention on instructional and operational excellence. Prior to joining ICEF, Hudnut served as Executive Director of Innovation & Charter Schools at the Los Angeles Unified School District where he was responsible for supporting and holding accountable a portfolio of over 200 schools educating more than 100,000 students. He also oversaw the implementation of the District's Public School Choice Resolution, a competitive public process that annually transformed low performing schools into more autonomous, highly accountable schools focused on student achievement. Previously, Hudnut was the COO/CFO for Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools, a Los Angeles-based network of public charter schools serving 7,000 students in some of the most socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods of the region. While there, he spent two years as a resident with the Broad Residency in Urban Education. He also worked at Chancellor Beacon, a national charter management company; Quisic, a startup online business education company; and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, a boutique economic and environmental consulting firm. Hudnut holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, where he was a Leadership Fellow and was awarded a Morgenthau Fellowship for dedication to public service. He earned his BA in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. He lives in Redondo Beach, California with his wife and two children.
