Bio:
Becky Crowe has spent twenty years leading education reform efforts as a social entrepreneur and education strategy and philanthropy advisor. Becky is currently a Fellow at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative focused on advancing work on their whole child/human development research and practice. Since joining Bellwether Education Partners in 2012, Becky has worked on a range of strategy, business planning, and human capital projects with clients such as Summit Public Schools, Startup Education, Los Angeles Unified School District, 100Kin10, Rocketship Education, Google, Microsoft, and America Achieves. She led the development of Bellwether's Talent Advising practice focused on creating talent-ready organizations.Previously, Becky served as executive director of Partners in School Innovation in San Francisco from 2003-2009. During her tenure as executive director, Partners doubled in size and became the key school improvement partner working to increase student achievement in several of the largest urban districts in the Bay Area. At Partners, she also launched the Encore Fellows program in partnership with Civic Ventures and the Packard Foundation to bring top talent from the private sector into the social sector. Prior to joining Partners, she was responsible for leadership development of principals and school district leaders from 30 Bay Area school districts at the Bay Area School Reform Collaborative. Becky launched her career leading school and district program evaluation as a researcher at Stanford University. Becky has degrees in English and Education from Stanford University where she co-captained the women's swim team, and has a management degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is a Fellow of the 12th class of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
