Ryan Hill is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of KIPP New Jersey, a network of public charter schools in Newark and Camden, New Jersey. Under Hill’s leadership, KIPP NJ has grown from one to ten schools (eight in Newark and two in Camden), currently serving over 3,700 students in grades K-12. With over 500 alumni in college, KIPP NJ has a 95% high school graduation rate and an 83% college-going rate. KIPP NJ students represent the districts they come from, with over 88% qualifying for free or reduced price meals, and over 15% qualifying for special education services.
Hill also serves on the executive committee of the New Jersey Charter School Association board and is Chair of the advisory board of Democrats for Education Reform’s New Jersey region.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Hill has completed the Broad Leadership Fellowship and is a member of the 2015 Pahara/Aspen Fellowship cohort.
