David P. Agnew is managing director of Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets Inc. in New York. Formerly, he served as deputy assistant to the President and White House director of Intergovernmental Affairs. Prior to joining the White House, David was a businessman and community leader in Charleston, South Carolina. He was founder and president of Civic Square LLC, a real estate development and consulting firm that specialized in creating innovative public-private partnerships. David previously served as senior advisor to Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr., special assistant to U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, and as a senior management consultant at Price Waterhouse. David served as chair of the Trust for Public Land South Carolina Advisory Council and as a board member of the Charleston Parks Conservancy. He graduated in 1990 from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government with a Master's degree in public policy, and in 1988 earned his Bachelor of Art's degree from Erskine College. He also attended Oxford University as a visiting student 1986-87. He is a 1986 Truman Scholar and a European Union Fellow. He is also a Fellow of the third class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
