Bio:
Dirk Brown holds a joint appointment at the University of South Carolina supported by the Moore School of Business, the College of Engineering & Computing and Innovista. He is Director of the FABER Entrepreneurship Center and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Moore School. He is CEO of Pandoodle Corporation, a privately financed company based on proprietary digital media technologies. Brown's prior work includes CEO of a venture capital-funded startup company, Epic Technology. He holds over 25 patents in the areas of semiconductors, electronics and digital media technology and is on the boards of the USC/Columbia Technology Incubator, the Center for Entrepreneurial and Technological Innovation at USC, and the National Intellectual Property Taskforce. Brown received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and his Master of Engineering in Applied Physics degrees from Cornell University, his Master of Business Administration degree from San Jose State University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Queen's University (Canada).
