Walter Tobin is president/CEO of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. Previously, he was interim president/CEO of Denmark Technical College in Denmark, South Carolina, while still vice president for Academic Affairs and chief academic officer at Orangeburg-Calhoun Tech. Previously he served as middle school director for Good Hope School in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, and principal of Saluda High School. In addition to his civic work on education boards, Tobin has served on the boards of the American Red Cross - Greater Edisto Chapter; Orangeburg County Community of Character; Kiwanis Club of Orangeburg; and Interim Chair, Edisto Council of the United Way of the Midlands. Tobin holds a Ph.D. in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina and has completed post-doctoral work at Harvard Institute for Educational Management. He has an Ed.S. degree and an M.Ed degree in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina and a B.S. degree in Math Teaching from Clemson University.
