Julia Martin is chief financial officer of South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA), a tax-exempt applied research and commercialization services corporation started by the South Carolina Legislature in 1983 under a public charter. In her role, Martin also serves as the Treasurer for SCRA affiliates ATI and South Carolina Launch, Inc. Martin is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. She is an alumnus of the Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative, holds a U.S. government Top Secret clearance and serves on the Executive Committee of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she is on the board of the City of Charleston Southern Marlins Racing Team. Martin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting, from the College of Charleston. She has completed graduate coursework at the College of Charleston and is a certified management accountant.
