Kathleen G. Wilson is a three term councilmember with the city of Charleston Principal Harpist with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and is one of the most experienced marathon swimmers in the world, having completed many of the world's greatest open water swims, including the English Channel, the first by a South Carolina resident. She has founded SwimCalm, a groundbreaking teaching method for adults with mild to profound fear of the water. She has been awarded the Order of the Palmetto. Kathleen received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in harp performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She resides in Charleston.
