Bio:
Dr. Faith Polkey is the chief clinical officer at Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services (BJHCHS). She is also the regional director of medical education for AT Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, whose South Carolina campus is based at BJHCHS. She served as chief of pediatrics at BJHCHS for 13 years. Previously she was the chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where she is currently a member of their board of trustees. Faith has served on the task force to redefine the definition of underrepresented minority at the Association of American Medical Colleges and has served as a team leader for the first expansion site of City Year in Columbia. Faith received her BS in biology from the University of South Carolina, her MD from Johns Hopkins University, and her MPH from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health. She completed her pediatric residency training at Duke University Medical Center and a second residency in Preventive Medicine in UNC, where she served as chief resident. Faith resides in Beaufort, South Carolina. She is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Liberty Fellowship Program, serves on the Liberty Fellowship board and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
