Bio:
Melinda Davis Lux is a Partner at Womble Bond Dickinson where her practice focuses on sophisticated merger and acquisition, joint venture, and corporate financing transactions, with exceptional depth of experience in cross-border M&A transactions. Along with very broad M&A experience within manufacturing and distribution, she has particular experience in chemical, industrial, and automotive sectors, and further experience in structuring complex transactions for clients in advanced materials, infrastructure, software, and IT. Her outside professional activities include serving as a member of the Cross Border Transactions Committee of Lex Mundi, serving as Chair of the Private Equity Subcommittee of the ABA Taxation Committee, and serving as a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Association for Corporate Growth. She has served as an adjunct professor at Clemson University for MBA students, as well as a frequent writer and interviewee for radio shows and magazines, including South Carolina Business Review, Investment Banking South, Deal Points, GSA Biz Vibe, Upstate Business Journal, The Practical Lawyer, and South Carolina Lawyer. She received her B.A. from Wellesley College, her M.B.A. from Clemson University, her J.D. from the Yale Law School, and most recently an LLM in taxation from NYU's School of Law in 2015. Melinda resides in Greenville, SC. Melinda is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
