Bio:
Tumiko Rucker is CEO of Sea Island Comprehensive Healthcare Corporation in Charleston, SC. Previously, she was town administrator for the Town of Kiawah Island, where she had previously served as town treasurer. Prior to joining the administration of Kiawah Island, she was a mortgage operations analyst for Wells Fargo and finance director for the City of Chester. She also has worked for the cities of Charlotte and Rock Hill and has served as an adjunct professor at York Technical College. Tumiko serves on the board of the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority and the Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic board. She is the immediate past president of the Saint John's Parrish Rotary Club. Tumiko also serves on the Wachovia Bank advisory board of directors and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Tumiko is a two-term director of the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada. She is a certified public funds Administrator and a certified public funds investment manager. Tumiko earned an MBA and BA degree in public policy and administration with a minor in international studies from Winthrop University. She is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
