Bio:
Sharon Graci is the co-founding Artistic Director of PURE Theatre, a professional regional theatre company in Charleston, SC. She has overseen the production of 84 plays, including 16 world premieres and 67 regional premieres, as well as the creation of PURE Lab, an incubator for the development of new work, PURE Youth Company, a socio-economically diverse training program for middle and high school students, and PURE Young Adult, a production arm of PURE that produces plays geared specifically toward high school age students. During her tenure, the company has won numerous awards including multiple critics and audience awards for Best Actor/Actress; Best Play; Best Director; and Most Diverse Theater Company." Sharon has been awarded the SC Arts Commission Fellowship in Acting and is named as one of "Charleston's 50 Most Progressive People." She has served on local and state funding panels for the City of Charleston, the City of North Charleston and the SC Arts Commission and she has served on national funding panels for both Theatre Communications Group, and the National Endowment for the Arts. She is an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Director's Lab, and a member of Screen Actors Guild and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. She is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
