Bio:
A. Shane Massey is a Partner with Nance, McCants & Massey law firm in Aiken. He began his law career as a Law Clerk for the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee and served as Judicial Clerk for The Honorable William P. Keesley, Eleventh Judicial Circuit Judge. Shane currently serves in the South Carolina Senate and has announced his candidacy for South Carolina's Third Congressional District seat now held by Gresham Barrett, who intends to run for Governor in 2010. Shane serves on the board of Edgefield County United Way, the Johnston Development Board, and is a member of the Aiken Sertoma Club and Johnston Lions Club. He is a former board chairman for Edgefield County First Steps. Shane earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and is a Cum Laude graduate of Clemson University with a BA degree in Chemistry. He resides in Edgefield.
