Bio:
Brian McSharry was chief operating officer and founder of SAGE Automotive Interiors, which spun off from Milliken in 2009 and has recently been acquired by Gores Group. Prior to founding SAGE, Brian had a successful career with Milliken where he most recently was leader of the corporate strategy and growth team focusing on the global cost competitiveness initiative in North and South America, Asia and Europe. His other previous positions with Milliken include director of global manufacturing strategy for North America; director of automotive expansion; director of operations - Milliken Automotive Europe and director of manufacturing in addition to several other roles within the textile operations of the company. Brian serves on the Advisory Council at Furman, working with them on their sustainability initiative. He is active in his church and volunteers with Creating Artists for Tomorrow, an art studio for children started by his wife. Brian earned his bachelor of science in chemistry from Furman University and resides in Greenville. He is a Fellow of the eighth class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
