Bio:
Vanessa Diaz is the associate chair for clinical services and associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at MUSC. Previously she was women's health coordinator for MUSC's Department of Family Medicine. Vanessa serves on the MUSC Faculty Senate, the editorial board of the Southern Medical Journal, the Hispanic Health Initiative Advisory Board and the North American Primary Care Research Group Board. She is a frequent consultant at community health fairs and on a weekly health topics discussion radio show on El Sol 1840 AM. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Research from the Medical University of South Carolina, her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami. Vanessa is a Fellow of the tenth class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
