Bio:
José Martí Jiménez Figueres (Martí Jiménez) is the founder and managing partner of Noveza. As an entrepreneur since 2004 he has led or co-led the creation, project management, and capital structuring of four companies so far with about $20M raised and more than 150 direct jobs created in ecotourism, hospitals, and assisted living. Investors in his projects include renowned local business leaders, commercial banks, The Nature Conservancy, and Conservation International. Previously, José Martí worked at Mesoamerica Investments in project management and M&A mandates in Central America for over four years, and as an intern at Bain & Company in Colombia and Ramius Capital Group in New York. He has served on several boards of directors in the private sector and at a cabinet-level board in the public sector. José Martí serves on the Investment Committee of EcoEnterprises Fund, the board of visitors of the Organization for Tropical Studies, on INCAE's Costa Rica National Committee, and an Assembly Member of the CRUSA Foundation. He is an industrial engineer from the University of Costa Rica and an MBA from Harvard University. He is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
