Bio:
Javier Antonio Simán is the CEO of Grupo Farsiman, one of the top pharmaceutical groups in Central America. Javier is a member of the Board of Directors of Fundación Obras Sociales Vicentinas, and a member of the Board of Directors of Programa Puerta Abierta which provides support to more than 200 HIV-positive women and men, and their families. Javier has been a volunteer for Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization that helps young students understand the meaning of entrepreneurship and the importance of staying in school. Javier was also a member of the Board of Directors of Cámara de Comercio e Industrias de Cortes, the local chamber of commerce, where he was a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. He earned a BS in industrial engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison and lives in San Pedro Sula. He is a Fellow of the seventh class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
