Pamela Villalobos is president of the Castro Carazo Metropolitan University (UMCA), the second largest private university in Costa Rica established in 1936. In this role, she is accountable for the formulation and implementation of strategic and budgetary plans to advance the University's goals and for the definition of priorities in all departments. She is also part of the executive board of La Marta Wildlife Refuge, a tropical rainforest with more than 1,500 acres located in Turrialba, Costa Rica, where she helps implement conservation and sustainable development strategies with the local community and experts in the field. Previously, Ms. Villalobos was president of the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT). Pamela was also responsible for developing consulting services for Hispanic-owned businesses in Southern California through the Small Business Administration (SBA). She received her B.S. in business from the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) in Costa Rica, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne in California. She is a Fellow of the eighth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
