Bio:
Fátima Mena is currently the Chief of the Anticorruption Party in Honduras. She discovered that the application of laws in her country was a big problem, and that corruption and impunity were taking many lives away, but most important, their peace. Because of this, she joined the Anticorruption Party as a Volunteer because she believed it was time to get involved in the changes and implement anticorruption policies. She coordinated first her neighborhood, then her city, her department, and finally made it to National Counsel. On the elections of November 2013, she was elected Congresswoman, as the most voted women in her department. She obtained her Law degree in Honduras while working for the Supreme Court, and in 2006 she obtained a Scholarship to get a Masters Degree in Justice Administration in the National University of Costa Rica (UNA). Fátima believes in the theory of positive changes and she is sure that in this world, the good people are more. She is a Fellow of the 10th class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
