Bio:
Lorena Mancia is a Central American, born in El Salvador. Having lived through the civil war in her country, exposed to the social consequences resulting from it, Lorena aims to be a transforming agent in the region. With twenty years of managerial experience in high profile corporate executive roles in the construction and cement industry in Central America, President and Board of Directors member and advisor in several companies along her career, Lorena is a turnaround specialist. Leading and executing growth in various companies in Latin America as a consultant, she is convinced value creation is in the people. Her purpose is to improve the region´s competitiveness empowering young adults as a means to close the development gap. Prizewinner for a Corporate Social Responsibility program, and guest speaker in various international forums in Latin America and Europe. Lorena earned a Post-graduate degree in Architecture, a Master’s degree in Business Engineering at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, and a Leadership degree in Universidad de los Andes de Colombia. Lorena is married and mother to a son. She is a Central American Leadership Initiative Class X Fellow.
