Bio:
Yolanda Mayora de Gavidia is the Corporate Sustainability Manager at AGEXPORT since August 2019. During the last seven years she was the Executive Director of Novella Foundation, where she oversaw the social investment initiatives of PROGRESO group, which was tied to their sustainability strategy. Yolanda was born in El Salvador and moved to Guatemala in 2009 to become the secretary general of the Central American Integration System (SIECA). Beforehand, she had a two-decade public service career, where she laid the groundwork for sound economic development policies culminating with her service during 2004-2008 as Minister of Economy of El Salvador. Yolanda also led the implementation of CAFTA and the VI Population and Housing Census in El Salvador. She is very passionate on social issues such as the elements of competitiveness and is the founder of Infocentros, an NGO charged with massifying information technology in the early 90s, she is part of the Board of Directors for Alliance for Nutrition since its foundation and a director of Vital Voices.
