Bio:
After a 17 year career with Grupo Pantaleon, Salvador has joined Grupo IDC, a leading private equity group in the Central American region. The group works on multiple platforms, including M&A and structured finance, real estate, energy & infrastructure, and private equity funds. During his time at Pantaleon, Salvador held multiple roles, including M&A, business development, country manager for the Group’s Brazilian operation, head of sales & trading and Chief Sustainability Officer. Beyond the work space, Salvador has been appointed President of the Electoral Board for the State of Guatemala by the Supreme Electoral Court during several general elections (2007, 2011, 2015), and has held several other positions on the Electoral Board during six previous electoral processes. He currently is a member of the board of trustees of Grupo Educativo del Valle, a leading private education group which operates several universities and private schools around the country. He is also a member of board of trustees, and current Vice President of FUNDESA, the main Guatemalan private sector development think tank. Salvador was named as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2011. He received a BS in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is a Fellow of the third class of the Central America Leadership Initiative.
