Bio:
Jorge Patiño is an asset manager at Mercado de Valores de Costa Rica, with $252 million of assets under administration. Part of the wealth management team, which has the responsibility of the investments of the highest net worth individual clients of the firm; also newly added to the Strategic Planning Team. Jorge publishes bimonthly an article of finance investment related topic in Forbes Centroamerica magazine. Has been an active member of several non-profit organizations, member of the financial committee of the Costa Rican-American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham), currently President of the board of Ciudad Mujer, organization dedicated to fund raise the institute that provides education, housing and meals to over 200 female teenagers in social risk. He was involved with the Costa Rican Government in the process of developing the Carbon Bond Market of Costa Rica in order to have them tradable in the local Stock Exchange, important milestone in order for the country to obtain carbon neutrality by 2021. He earned his bachelor degree in Universidad de Costa Rica and his Master in Business Administration degree at The Pennsylvania State University. Jorge is a Fellow of the 11th class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
