Bio:
Christian L. Soura is vice president of policy and finance at the South Carolina Hospital Association. Christian was previously director of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He was formerly Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of South Carolina. He previously served the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as Secretary of Administration, Director of Strategic Services and Senior Advisor for Recovery Implementation. He was also an Adjunct Instructor at Penn State's School of Public Affairs. Christian's community involvement has included the Penn State Public Administration Advisory Council, South Carolina Commission on National and Community Service, and the boards of both the National Association of State Chief Administrators and the National Association of Medicaid Directors. He is a former Chapter President of the American Society for Public Administration. Christian earned his Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in international politics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Penn State and his Master of Arts in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Fellow of the 11th class of the Liberty Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
