Bio:
Marlon Kimpson is Partner with Motley Rice Law Firm. He also serves as South Carolina State Senator of District 42, representing citizens of Charleston and Dorchester Counties. After five years in commercial banking, Marlon earned a law degree before serving as a law clerk to The Honorable Matthew J. Perry of the U.S. District Court of South Carolina. He is active in his community and formerly served on the University of South Carolina Board of Visitors. He is a member of the South Carolina Black Lawyers Association, NAACP, Sigma Pi Phi Boule' and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Marlon earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College. Marlon is a Fellow of the 11th class of the Liberty Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
